The first networking event of 2018 was hosted by the Chamber on 15 February 2018.
It was a highly successful occasion with upwards of one hundred executives including representatives from member companies and non-members.
The networking was held in the sumptuous Rose Suite at the Chamber’s premises where drinks and refreshments were served.
Attendees were welcomed by Dr Afnan AlShuaiby, Secretary General and CEO, ABCC, who stressed that the Chamber was in the business of helping companies to do business in the Arab world and vice versa.
She remarked on the Chamber’s considerable experience mentioning how its 40th anniversary had been celebrated last year.
Mr Abdeslam El-Idrissi delivered a presentation on the extensive opportunities emerging in the Arab markets in various sectors and regions and explained how the Chamber could assist companies seeking to access new contracts and tenders.
He outlined the ambitious events programme that the Chamber organises each year, highlighting the big trade conferences on Qatar and Iraq that had been held in 2017 with hundreds of delegates in attendance.
He also pointed out the numerous mean by which the Chamber can assist companies such as through its raft of publications and its website, as well as its documentation services.
The Chamber also holds varied training programmes including Arabic language courses and was about to launch a new leadership training course in partnership with ABCC member company, Kaplan.
Finally, Simon Taylor, Senior Leadership Consultant with Kaplan, introduced the leadership programme that would be running at the Chamber in 2018.
