The ABCC was pleased to host a trade mission of business executives and officials from the Tunisian agri-foods sector on 11th October in cooperation with the Tunisian Embassy.
Members of the trade mission were visiting London to explore the potential consumer demand for their produce and to meet buyers who would be able to help distribute Tunisian-made products in the British market.
The visitors took part in a business briefing and entered into discussions with various British industry experts to explore consumer trends and gain some insights into the best route for breaking into the UK market.
One-to-one meetings were held with potential buyers at the Chamber’s premises on the side lines of the briefing and exhibition.
The delegation was accompanied to the Chamber by Tunisian Ambassador His Excellency Mr Nabil Ben Khedher and Mr Mehdi Ben Abdallah, President of the Tunisian British Chamber of Commerce (TBCC).
An exhibition of the quality Tunisian products on display in the Chamber’s Boardroom included brands of premium olive oil, olives, dates, confectionery, canned fish, pastas and tea.
The event coincided with a UK-Tunisia Trade & Investment Forum which was organised by the Tunisian Embassy, DMA and the TBCC and supported by the ABCC. The forum was held in London on 10th October and focused on the key Tunisian sectors of agri-business and energy.
