The Chamber hosted a successful webinar, chaired by the Rt Hon Baroness Symons, organised to discuss the changing business environment and new opportunities for Arab-UK cooperation as the global economy emerges out of the Covid-19 pandemic. CEO & Secretary General, Mr Bandar Reda, introduced the ABCC’S new services to support businesses going forward to meet the future challenges. Guest speakers, Mr Simon Penney, HM Trade Commissioner for the Middle East, discussed the key sectors for UK-Arab collaboration such as Tech, Health, Energy, Education and Financial Services; while, Dr Khaled Hanafy, Secretary General, Union of Arab Chambers, stressed the potential to step up the level of cooperation between the private sectors. Questions were fielded on issues concerning Brexit, climate change, the role of SMEs, job creation and the role of the younger entrepreneurs. This was the first of a series of webinars whose dates have been announced.
