The Interim Secretary General and CEO of the Arab British Chamber of Commerce, Rita Massoud, MBA, FCIPD was delighted to welcome members, partners, and distinguished guests to a special reception hosted in collaboration with MUSIAD UK.
At the ABCC we were particularly pleased to co-host this evening with Turkan Akbas, Chairwoman of MÜSİAD UK, whose leadership continues to strengthen UK–Türkiye business ties and support Turkish entrepreneurs globally.
The event brought together business leaders, diplomats, and members from both organisations—demonstrating the value of simply bringing the right people into the same room and allowing meaningful conversations to unfold.
The UK–Türkiye relationship continues to grow, with bilateral trade now exceeding £28 billion. Türkiye’s dynamic economy and entrepreneurial spirit present significant opportunities for collaboration, particularly as discussions around an enhanced Free Trade Agreement advance.
We were also pleased to be joined by Ben Aldred, Deputy Trade Commissioner for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, reflecting the strong institutional support behind this important partnership.
A special highlight of the evening was the exceptional Turkish hospitality, with cuisine provided by Yaprak Restaurant.
