The ABCC was delighted and honoured to welcome DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre) for a special business networking event to showcase the numerous advantages for investors and commodities traders in doing business in the global economic hub of the DMCC free zone. Our guest of honor Dr. Hamad Buamimis the Chairman of the Board at Dubai (DMCC). Keynote presentations were delivered by HE Ahmed Bin Sulayem, CEO, DMCC and Mr Mansoor Almansoori, Head of Economic Affairs, UAE Embassy. Ms Khozama Al Saadi, DMCC, explained the advantages available in the free zone to UK firms seeking to join the growing numbers of UK companies already active in the Emirates.
Guests including financiers, top city executives and chamber members were welcomed by Mr Bandar Reda, ABCC CEO and SG, and RT Hon Baroness Symons, ABCC chairman while supporting remarks were also delivered by Lord Edward Udny-Lister, on behalf of the UAEIIC AE-UK business council. All speakers expressed optimism for the growth in bilateral trade and investment and anticipated a successful conclusion to the UK-GCC FTA talks, which would further strengthen our relationship.
