The ABCC held a successful networking social evening on Wednesday 29 March which attracted up to 200 business people and took place in the luxury setting of the Rembrandt Hotel at its Kensington location. Hosted by the hotel, one the Chamber’s corporate members, the occasion brought together representatives of ABCC member companies and other firms who had not yet joined the Chamber.
Attendees were welcomed to the event by Chamber’s membership team and other staff. In welcoming remarks, Mr Abdeslam El-Idrissi, Director of Trade Services, ABCC, touched on the growing opportunities for exporting to the Arab markets and their potential as investment destinations. Ms Kay Shelford, Director of Sales, Rembrandt Hotel, also welcomed guests, while Mr Layaan Almenoar introduced the leisure facilities in the Aquilla Health and Fitness Club available to the hotel’s guests.
Attendees greatly enjoyed the hospitality and refreshments generously provided by the hotel, including a raffle conducted by Ms Shelford. Discussions were aided by sector specific meeting points which made it easier for networkers to identify their potential business partners. This was the first members’ networking event held at an outside venue and the Chamber received much positive feedback from the attendees.
